Viosinho
The Viosinho cast is only planted in the Douro and Trás-os-Montes region where it is used since the nineteenth century. It is a good quality caste and indicated for the production of a smooth Wine and Porto wine. However, it has a small production and therefore is not planted in large quantities. Viosinho has small bunches and berries that mature early and are quite sensitive to rotting. This caste develops better in not too dry soils. The caste produces fresh and complex floral aromas and well structured wines. Normally, they are alcoholic and capable of being bottled for a few years.
