Description

This wine was created from the combination of two Portuguese castes - the TINTA RORIZ from the Quinta do Popa and the berry from the Vinha Pan - that join the strong aroma of the young caste from the Douro to the tannic and acid structure of the caste grown in an Atlantic climate. It was therefore possible to create a wine that is ready to drink and at the same time presents a great ageing capacity.

The name is derived from TR (Tinta Roriz) and PA (Vinha Pan) and its visual expression is of the mixture of the two tones of grapes.

It is ideal for accompanying red meats and when it is 10 years or older a soft cheese.

Quinta do Pôpa & Luis Pato

Production: 3000 bottles.

Tasting Notes

Blackberry and raspberry aroma accompanied by light vanilla and back chocolate and Atlantic Pine resin. Taste as described in the aroma. Presented an evident acidity with soft and mature tannins that predict a further 10 to 12 year ageing.
