Fernão Pires
Fernão Pires is one of the most planted castes is Portugal. The Fernão Pires caste has a very early maturation and therefore is one of the first Portuguese castes to be picked. It is very sensitive to frost and therefore develops better in fertile soils in hot or temperate climates. This caste has a good alcohol level and a low or medium acidity. That is why the wines produced or mixed with this caste have intense floral aromas.
